Ms. Mills graduated with a B.Sc. in Geological Engineering from the University of Manitoba and has a Masters Certificate in Project Management from York University. Ms. Mills is a member of the Canadian Institute of Mining (CIM) Capital Projects Steering Committee and a former Chair of Mining for Miracles (2019-2022). She is married to Kevin Mills now for 25 years, has an 18 year old daughter Mackenzie who currently attends Mount Royal University and a 13 year old son, Matthew who is in his last year of middle school. She enjoys weightlifting, biking, running, golfing, and watching her children play hockey and lacrosse.
As the Vice President of Teck’s Projects Group, Ms. Mills is responsible for the successful delivery of capital projects across Teck’s base metals and steelmaking coal business units. Ms. Mills has been with Teck for 10 years and leverages her 25 years of successful leadership and project development experience to embed Teck’s values and ambitious sustainability goals in every aspect of Project Development and Delivery. The Projects Group works closely with the Copper Growth team, the business units and corporate governance to deliver projects through inception, permitting, design, construction and start up.
